One question we get a lot is how to choose the best price for your items when uploading them to your Trench closet. We know each Trencher has her own strategy for making the most of her items while giving the best deal to her buyers. Here are our top 4 tips for pricing: 1. Trenchers know best: Do a quick search for the item on Trench to see how others chose to price similar items. This step ensures that your price is fair and reasonable. 2. Willingness to pay: How much would you be willing to pay for the same item in the same condition? If you wouldn’t pay 10 diamonds for a gently-used non-designer sweater, don’t expect someone else to do so. 3. The condition of the item plays a huge part as well: Signs of wear such as stains, holes, pilling, fading color, etc. mean you’ll have to offer heavy discounts. 4. Brand popularity: Well-known brands like ZARA, Louis Vuitton and Nike, may sell quickly and for a higher price, especially if the items are in-demand and rare.
