Making a good first impression is vital, especially when it comes to items in your Trench closet. Your closet is the first thing that Trenchers see and can often determine whether they like or buy your items or having a crush on your closet. And for your first impression, you want to show potential buyers just how awesome you and your fashion items are. So how do you snap the perfect item photo? How do you entice Trenchers to click on your item and look at the rest of your closet? Lucky you, we have some tips for you to take amazing and authentic item photos:
Wear-ability - If you wear your item to show how you would style it, the chances of selling your item are much greater.
Position - Place your item on a hanger against a white wall. Best way is to use a nail that is already being used on your wall.
Light - Your photos will turn out much better and look more like they do in real life if you keep the flash off and use natural light. If natural light isn’t available, there are great apps that will quickly correct the exposure and tone of your pics.
Background - Make sure your background is clear of anything that may take away the focus from your item shot.
Clean and clear - Avoid blurry images by tapping on the item you’re photographing to make the focus crystal clear.
With these tips, you’re sure to get your item sold in no time. Have tips of your own? Share them in the comments!
